Madame Yevonde: Lady Warrender as Ceres
Madame Yevonde was an early color photographer with a knack for capturing illustration-esque moments for her career in advertisement as well as her commission work, from which I pulled this shot. She did a wonderful series of upper-class European women as goddesses and important female roles of mythological stories.
This series inspired my own series of self portraits with a similar theme (ill get these up asap).
